Monday and Tuesday

Monday morning we headed to Kauai Coffee and the Original Red Dirt Shirt store. Remember how red dirt stains easily and when the kids play in the yard, it warrants an immediate bath? Well, over here, someone came up with the idea of purposely staining shirts with red dirt. We were able to see how red dirt shirts are made and it's definitely a messy process! The idea came after Hurricane Iniki hit. This small screen printing business got hit hard by the hurricane and found their white t-shirts that were ready to be printed had been soaked and stained by the red dirt. From that came the idea for the shirts.

Here's where the red dirt shirts are made. The kids were instructed to not touch anything! :)

Wouldn't you love to have your washing machine look like this??
Tuesday was a rainy day so we did a little tourist shopping, ate lunch, and then saw Spouting Horn.
