Daniel's preschool celebrated Boy's Day. You can see a couple of the things they made in the picture. One of the traditions is that families display beautiful carp banners outside their homes. The number of banners displayed corresponds with the number of males in the house. The colorful windsocks are a reminder of the strength and perseverence of the koi (carp). It's a symbol of a desired trait for sons.
Happy Boy's Day!
