This morning we headed to the Lighthouse on the North Shore for a "Nature Detectives" program. The kids used their senses to discover and learn about plants and birds around the Lighthouse.
The Red-Footed Boobies are one of many birds that live at the Wildlife Refuge around the Lighthouse.
All the kids got magnifying glasses to use as detectives.
If you look closely, you'll see two Wedge-tailed Shearwaters in the picture. These birds dig holes to live in.
We saw three Nene birds up close.
As always, the view is stunning from the Lighthouse.
