Yesterday afternoon we put up our Christmas tree. We had to purchase a tree this year since we didn't bring ours to Hawaii. The kids had a good time hanging up the ornaments. They were especially enamored with the tractor and train ornaments. This morning Daniel took down the tractor ornament and tried to hook it up to his grain wagon. I've been reminding them quite frequently that the ornaments are just to look at and not play with.
Unfortunately we didn't completely get finished decorating the tree yesterday. We were short ornament hooks so only about half of the ornaments made it on to the tree so far. Plus, our angel tree topper won't light up anymore. So, no tree topper yet. Hope to get the tree finished this week.
The kids also had a good time with the Santa hat and the stockings. They thought it was hilarious to wear the stockings. :)
Hard to believe Christmas is almost here!
In case you're getting sick of the constantly beautiful weather, wanted to make sure you knew you'd missed the first major winter storm of the year. It's 8 degrees in Kansas City tonight. I'm assuming it's likely Washington, IA is that cold or colder.
