Our Busy Weekend

Whew! What a crazy, busy, fun weekend! The pictures below are from Friday night when we celebrated Daniel's birthday (again). Along with Curt's parents and grandmas, we were joined by our friends Ryan and Shanon and their three girls. The kids helped make pizza for supper - along with sneaking some as well. :) The kids had a great time playing together and we had a fun Thomas the Train birthday party. The last picture shows how much the fun and excitment wiped out the birthday boy (before the guests even left).

Saturday we headed to the Mizzou basketball game and then on to Curt's sister's in Kansas City. Sunday morning we were blessed to watch our nephew Dayton be baptized. After church we enjoyed a wonderful meal and cake to celebrate the big day. Later in the afternoon our family met with Curt's cousin and her family, along with his college roommate's family, for supper. After that, Curt drove to Iowa for more work meetings, and Curt's parents picked us up to head back to their house. An exhausting but exciting weekend!

Last night I enjoyed a movie and supper out with Curt's grandmas while Curt's parents took the kids to Monkey Joe's. They had a fun time bouncing, climbing, and sliding. It's been a packed month and so wonderful to see family and friends. Tomorrow morning we fly back to Kauai. Here's hoping for good, uneventful travels!
