Early Halloween Fun

The Tuesday after we moved here the kids and I went to the park and met a group of moms and their kids. It turns out that every Tuesday morning there is a group that gets together for playdates at the park, the beach, someone's house, or elsewhere. Anyway, we've joined the group the last couple of weeks and it's been great getting to know these other moms and their keikis (kids).

Yesterday morning for our playgroup we had a Halloween party at one of the mom's house. We read Halloween books, decorated Halloween cookies, picked "pumpkins" (pumpkin shaped candy), blew bubbles, and had fun. There were about 10 moms and all their kids there. What a fun time. The pictures posted are from the party.

Most of the moms from this playgroup are members of the LDS church in town. They invited our family to a church Halloween party they had last night. Curt was flying back from Oahu so it was just me and the kids. Everyone was dressed in costumes, supper was served, there were games for the kids, and trick-or-treating. The kids had fun trick-or-treating and each came home with a cupcake from the cupcake walk.
