Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Halloween! For part of the day today Curt took charge of the kids. I got a chance to take a walk around the neighborhood and go to Salt Pond Beach to walk and read. It was nice to be able to take a break from the kids and everything at home. After lunch we headed to Lihue. Curt and the kids went grocery shopping at Costco while I checked out a local craft fair. I think a big part of the reason Curt volunteered to go to Costco was because he really likes the samples they hand out. :)

Daniel was a fireman for Halloween and Hannah was a princess. Hannah didn't mind wearing her costume at all but Daniel wasn't always so sure about his. We had them both dresssed and ready to leave the house. After taking a couple of pictures, Daniel took his off and told us, "I'm just going to go as Daniel." He did wear it trick-or-treating though so he could get candy.
For Halloween our neighboorhood gets together for a potluck. It was really a good chance for us to get to meet some other families in our neighborhood. It was kind of funny watching all these kids running around playing in their costumes. After eating everyone headed out for trick-or-treating. We walked with the Ahmadi family who live just a block from us. Curt works with Ramtin and him and his wife Kami have two boys. Rylan just turned 5 and Damien is about 3 or 4 months younger than Hannah. The kids have played together and Daniel loves playing with Rylan. The kids had fun trick-or-treating together. Daniel and Rylan were full of energy as they were practically running from house to house. When we got home we could tell the kids were really tired. The last picture shows Daniel post trick-or-treating.

Hope everyone had a good Halloween! If you're anything like us, you have enough candy to last the next year! :)
